Bellmont at Garrett Football

The Bellmont Braves’ season came to an end Friday night, as the Braves were defeated by the Garrett Railroaders with the final score being 38-14.

There was not much to be spoken about in the Braves first offensive possession, as the Braves went three and out. The Braves were forced to punt, which went to the Garrett 47-yard line. Unlike Bellmont’s first drive, Garret’s first offensive drive started fast with a 43-yard run by Robert Koskie. Koskie ran all the way to the Bellmont seven-yard line. Although Garret had the ball inside Bellmont’s ten-yard line, Garrett was unable to put points on to the board. Garrett turned the ball over on downs, which ended the Railroader drive. Despite the turnover on downs, Garrett still appeared to be in control of the game, as the Railroaders quickly forced the Braves to fourth down. Bellmont opted to punt the ball, but Garrett blocked the punt and recovered it in the endzone. Garrett was unable to make the extra point, which kept the score at 6-0.
