There was little mystery as to how the Bellmont Braves, the defending sectional champions, would approach Wednesday night’s sectional opener against Oak Hill: run the press, play hard-nosed zone defense, and rebound, rebound, rebound.

The Braves outplayed, out-hustled and out-everythinged the Oak Hill Golden Eagles in a dominating first half, building a 31-8 lead with another balanced performance in the scoring column as the three seniors attempted to win a second consecutive trophy for themselves, their school and coach Andy Heim. They went on to win the contest 57-21.
