Area schools plan Veterans Day programs

    Area veterans are invited to attend a special Veterans Day Program at Bellmont High School in the Erekson Theatre Nov. 10. The Veterans Day Program is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. All guests are asked to arrive by 9:15 a.m. for seating.
    “A hospitality room with refreshments will be available before the program,” said Bryan Lineberry, social studies teacher at BHS. “Veterans are welcome to join us in the Hospitality Room beginning at 8:30 a.m.”  
    The theme for this year’s program is "American History: Our Hope for the Future." The featured speaker is the former Adams County Judge James Heimann.  
    Following the program, guests are invited to stay for a catered luncheon in the library.

    The History Club of Adams Central High School will present the annual Veterans Day Program at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 13. The program will honor Adams County veterans and current military personnel. The program will be held in the basketball gymnasium. A reception will be held immediately following the program in the cafeteria.
    Students and staff will be available to help with parking and seating. Plan to arrive early to get a seat. This year’s guest speaker is Army veteran and Holocaust survivor, Robert Geminder.
    The program will also include performances by the Adams Central Band, Swing Choir and 5th Dimensions. Veterans and families are welcome to attend.
