ISP seeking asking for public’s help in Auburn armed robbery

    AUBURN — The Indiana State Police is investigating an armed robbery which took place at the Speedway gas station early this morning and the public’s help is being sought in identifying the person involved.
    According to Detective Mike Carroll, at approximately 3:36 a.m. a man reportedly entered the Speedway gas station, 1117 W. 7th St. in Auburn, displayed a handgun and demanded cash.
    After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the man left the Speedway and was last seen heading south.
    No one was injured and only the clerk was present at the time of the robbery.
    The investigation is ongoing and Carroll is asking anyone with any information to contact either the Indiana State Police in Fort Wayne at (260) 432-8661 or the Auburn Police Department at (260) 920-3200.  Anonymous calls will be accepted.
