The American Legion Adams Post #43 organized a group of about 25 volunteers on Saturday morning who gathered first at the Saint Joesph Catholic Church before moving on to the Decatur Cemetery. They placed flags besides the tombstones of hundreds of local veterans in an act of remembrance leading up to Memorial Day.
