Corn mazes come in all shapes and sizes and can provide challenge, competition, and fun to those who embark on the journey 's twists, turns and dead ends. Since the first corn maze was created in Annville, Pennsylvania nearly thirty years ago, American’s have made corn mazes a symbol of the fall season. In Decatur, several thousand people have continued this tradition by venturing through the corn fields of Steele Farms.
The concept started for the Steele family twelve years ago when the decision was made for Marah Steele to step aside from her job to raise her children. Along with her husband Chris, the duo brainstormed different ideas to continue to produce a solid income for the family and the idea of creating a corn maze was decided upon.
