After months of deliberation, decision-making, and planning, the public auction for the 132 acres of farmland that surrounds the Golden Meadows retirement home has concluded. The official sale took place through Krueckeberg Auction and Realty at the Adams County 4 H Park Dining Hall.

The land was sold in four tracks of varying sizes. On the west side of the road there were three tracks of the lad that were sold. Track One totaled 9.96 and sold individually for a total of $192,500 at an average of $19,327.31 an acre. Track Two and Track Three, which total 29.96 and 29.94 acres, sold together at a total of $897,500 at an average of $14,983.31 per acre.
