Voting locations in Adams County

    If you did not have a chance to vote early, normal voting will be from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. today. Voters may cast their votes at any of the six polling centers in Adams County on Election Day. Polling locations are as follows:
    • Bridge Community Church, 1403 Winchester Road, Decatur;
    • Knights of Columbus Hall, 1703 High St., Decatur;
    • Monroe Fire Station, 233 Tower Drive, Monroe;
    • Swiss Village Auditorium, Berne;
    • First Missionary Church, 950 US 27S, Berne; and
    • First United Methodist Church, 100 W. Line St., Geneva.

    The Adams County Republicans will meet at 6:15 p.m. today at the Elks on 2nd Street for a family friendly gathering.
    Anyone who needs transportation to the polls may call 849-9970.

    The Adams County Democrats will offer rides to the polls from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Election Day.

    Engle reported Democratic candidates will not be gathering this year, but have opted instead to spend the evening with family and friends.

    The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles says license branches will extend their hours next week to issue ID cards and driver’s licenses for identification at polling places during the general election.
    The BMV says its branches will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. today.
    Branches will only process new, amended or replacement ID cards and renewed, amended, or replacement driver’s licenses and learner permits on those days.
    The BMV says individuals who hold a driver’s license or ID card that expired after the last general election may use them as proof of identification for voting purposes.
