Foodies unite! The 2nd annual Eat- Walk-Enjoy Tour starts March 24

Staff Writer

Fort Wayne's first foodie tour — which also combines historic and architectural commentary — begins its second year March 24. The tours will run Fridays and Saturdays through mid-October at 3 p.m. on both days and are limited to a maximum of 12 persons. Private group tours can also be arranged.

The Eat-Walk-Enjoy tour offers a combination of Tapas sized-plus tastings at five locally owned downtown establishments, ranging from American comfort food to contemporary culinary creations including The Gas House, Park Place on Main, The Hoppy Gnome, J K O’Donnell’s and DeBrand Fine Chocolates.

Guests should expect to have more than a full meal by the end of tour.

In addition the tours — which last roughly three hours — will include six commentary stops highlighting the history and architecture of Fort Wayne during easy 1.25-mile central core loop.

The tours are designed to benefit the local restaurants, as guests who have not previously dined at them will have the opportunity to taste the offerings, spread the word about their experience and later return for complete meals. These tours will also give Visit Fort Wayne a unique activity to offer out-of-town conventioneers and visitors.
