‘Take Flight!’ at the Limberlost raptor program

Staff Writer

The Limberlost State Historic Site Visitor Center will host a "Take Flight!" raptor program event from 2-3 p.m. Sunday.
Mark Booth, of Take Flight! Wildlife Education, will present and talk about four live birds of prey, also known as raptors. Booth has done shows at a wide variety of places, including the Indianapolis Zoo and the Indiana State Fair.
“I met Mark when I worked at the Indy Zoo and he was doing regular programs there,” said Curt Burnette, naturalist and program developer for the Limberlost. “So I know from first-hand experience that he puts on a fine program.”
Booth will bring along a hawk, an owl and two falcons. The program is free, but donations are encouraged.
This program is sponsored by Valentine Feed & Supply of Portland, Indiana.
