WOODBURN—Despite holding a one point lead with under two minutes to go in the fourth quarter, three turnovers in the final minute turned out to be the deciding factor as Adams Central fell to the Woodlan Warriors by a score of 54-50 on Friday night.
The Warriors' senior guard Greg White came up big for Woodlan in the final quarter scoring five points and collecting three steals. His two biggest points of the contest came with 7.1 seconds as he connected on two free throws to give the home team a four-point lead.
Bellmont senior Diego Hutker came oh so close to lifting the upstart Bellmont Braves to sudden victory, turning Carroll's Logan Jester twice, rolling out 10-1 in the decisive 132-pound match Thursday at the Teepee ... but he could not hold off Jester's power half-Nelson in period two and the Chargers scored a second straight dual meet victory over Bellmont, 36-28.
