Bonnie J. Baumgartner, 65, of Decatur, passed away at 8:27 a.m. Friday, April 4, at her residence.
She was born May 16, 1948, in Portland, to the late Paul F. and Margaret E. (Myers) White. She married Richard Baumgartner on August 10, 1996; he passed away October 13, 2013.
Bonnie was a 1966 graduate of Portland High School, a graduate of Marian College in Indianapolis and Byng Vocational School in Oklahoma. She had worked at Adams Memorial Hospital for approximately 10 years as a registered nurse before retiring in 2006, and had previously been employed at Jay County Hospital. She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church.
Among survivors are a daughter, Rhonda Hendricks of Fort Myers, Fla.; a son, Steven Hendricks of Bluffton; a step-daughter, Dee Dee (Jesse) Belleu of Brazil; a step-son, James (Kay) Baumgartner of Danville; a sister, Karen Johnson of Portland; a brother, Gary White of Portland; two grandchildren, Austin and Claire Hendricks; and three step-grandchildren, Aiden and Brandon Belleu; and T.J. Baumgartner.
She was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Pat White.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Mark's United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, also in the church.
Preferred memorials are to the donor's choice.
