Donald R. Worley, 74, South Whitley, passed away at 11:42 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
He was born March 17, 1939, in Illinois, the son of the late Marion and Viola (Andre) Worley. He married the late Wanda Lee Brunner March 1, 1966, in Warsaw.
Donald graduated from Atwood High School with the class of 1957. He served his country in the United States Army for two years and 11 months. He worked in the transmission department at Dana Corporation in Syracuse for 17.5 years. He was also a self employed dairy farmer. Don was a member of Oak Grove Church of God. He enjoyed visiting friends at McDonald's and collecting antique tractors.
Survivors include two children, Christopher Worley of South Whitley and Emily (Randy) Gaskill of Monroe; four grandchildren, Aaron, Brandon and Craig Gaskill; and Teri Jo Brunner; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Virginia and Margaret, both of Kosciusko County.
Don was preceded in death by one infant granddaughter, Sarah Pingry; four brothers, two stepsons, Tim Boner and Scott Feighner.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday at Oak Grove Church of God, Raber Road, Columbia City, with Pastor Stephen Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow in South Park Annex Cemetery in Columbia City, with graveside military rites conducted by Korean War Veteran Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., also at the church.
