Kenneth W. Pancake, 71, Decatur, passed away at 7:40 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Tuesday, March 3, 1942, in Fort Wayne, the son of the late Virgil I. and Velma G. (Parks) Pancake. He married Barbara J. Borror April 7, 1962, in Decatur; she survives.
Ken was a member of First United Methodist Church in Decatur. He was a 1961 graduate of New Haven High School and attended Ivy Tech College.
Ken retired in 1995 from Central Soya with more than 28 years of service.
Surviving are three sons, Kip (Nina) Pancake, Tony (Kathy) Pancake and Tim Pancake, all of Decatur; two daughters, Tammy Averill of Decatur and Tiffany (Matthew) Mathias of Portland; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and three nieces.
Preceding Kenneth in death was one brother, James A. Pancake.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Amy Covington officiating.
Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home. Preferred memorials are to the family.
