Reuben J. Hilty, 63, Geneva, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at Adams Memorial Hospital. He was born to the late Jacob and Emma (Troyer) Hilty on March 9, 1950, in Adams County. Reuben was employed as a boiler operator at Westville Correctional Center in Westville, for 28 years. Survivors include two brothers, Jacob (Lovina) Hilty and Sam (Maltha) Hilty, both of Monroe; and a half brother, Alvin (Rachel) Hilty of Quincy, Mich. He was preceded in death by a brother, Andy Hilty; a sister, Fanny Hilty; three half brothers, Menno, Joe and Amos Hilty; and a half sister, Katherine Wickey. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until time of service on Friday, at the Devon Stutzman residence, US 27 and 50 S., Monroe. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday also at the residence. Burial will be at Winchester Cemetery, rural Monroe. Arrangments are being handled by Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home.
