Thomas A. Craig, 77, Decatur, passed away Oct. 17, 2013, at Bluffton Regional Hospital.
He was born to the late Thurman and Frances (Allen) Craig on Jan. 30, 1936, in Richmond. He married Dixie Swan on June 20, 1954; she survives.
Tom attended Geneva High School where he played baseball, basketball and ran track. He retired from St. Gobain Glass Corp., Dunkirk, with over 35 years of service. He also worked earlier at Dunbar Furniture, Berne. Special interests included collecting glass, coins, stamps and flying remote model airplanes. Tom enjoyed gospel music and was an avid sports fan. He also held an auctioneers license.
Among survivors are three sons, Jeffrey D. Craig of Decatur, Tom L. Craig of Olathe, Kans. and Michael R. Craig of Portland; a daughter, Jennifer L. Craig of Osgood; a brother, Dan (Dixie) Craig of Upland; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Gilmore; a grandson, Trent A. Craig; and a granddaughter, Kassie Craig.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home.
Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the Mt. Hope Church in rural Berne with Pastors Thomas M. Craig and Christopher L. Shallenberger officiating.
Burial is in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
