"We were very fortunate," Adams County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) Director John August said this morning.
"There were some power outages in Monroe and a few trees down here and there; other than that, we had nothing reported to us. Those reports (downed trees) came to us from deputies," August said.
"We did open the emergency shelter on the first floor at the Service Complex and there were a few people who came. There were about 12 people from Fleetwood; they were there with their RVs (waiting) for repairs and had no place to go (when the storm hit). And there were a couple of families that came in. We closed it around 1 a.m..
