The Heritage Patriots baseball squad ran away with the ACAC this season posting a 7-0 record to earn the title, and their excellence was rewarded by the conference with five members on the first and second teams.
Adams Central seniors Dalton Combs and Isaac Luginbill highlighted the first team for the Jets as both were an important part of three sectional titles for the school in the last four years alongside Conner Lengerich. Isaac Soldner was listed on the all-ACAC second team for the Jets as the team posted a tremendous 26-4 record on the year.
South Adams boasted a 17-12 record on the season turning in another solid performance for coach Brad Buckingham in a year that many thought was be a rebuilding one after losing several key seniors.
The Stars place two seniors on the ACAC first team including clean-up man Blake Fox and slugger Corey Seffernick. Fox manned first base this season and led the team in homeruns, while Seffernick was a wall behind home plate calling the games for SA pitchers and leading the team in average and on-base percentage.
On the second team was a pair of Starfire infielders in Chandler Ingle and Collin Affolder. Ingle is one of just five underclassmen to make the ACAC lists, while Affolder will also return ending his junior campaign this year.
