Leo F. Miller, 90, of Decatur, died Monday, May 27, 2013, at Woodcrest Nursing Center.
Leo was born on April 27, 1923, in Decatur to the late Casper and Margaret (Omlor) Miller.
He married Elizabeth M. “Betty” Koors on June 18, 1955; she preceded him in death on February 12, 2012.
Leo was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. He had an active career in senior softball, spanning 20 years. He had worked for 12 years as a custodian at Bellmont H.S. and was a farmer.
Among survivors are five sons, Terry Miller of Decatur; Greg (Teresa) Miller of Fort Myers, Fla.; Larry (Mindy) Miller of St. Louis, Mo.; Vince (Mary) Miller of Evans, Ga.; and Marty Miller of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two brothers, Bill Miller and Maury Miller, both of Decatur; two sisters, Joan Hawbaker of Kenosha, Wisc., and Sr. Laverne Miller, CSA of Fon Du Lac, Wisc.; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday, May 31, at Woodcrest Porter Auditorium, with a reciting of the Holy Rosary at 3:30 p.m. Visitation will also be from 9-10 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at St. Mary's Parish Hall.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with Father David Voors officiating.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to St. Mary’s Building on our Heritage.
