Mary M. Beer, 93, of Berne, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Swiss Village.
She was born to the late Melvin and Lavina (Beitler) Diehl on July 19, 1919, in Adams County.
She married Kenneth Beer on December 1, 1940; he survives in Berne.
Mary was a member of the Cross Community Church and co-owner of Dewbrook Farms. She enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, bird watching, and cooking.
Among survivors are her daughter, Diana (Barry) Humble of Decatur; two sons, David (Lynn) Beer of Fort Wayne and Dean (Jennifer) Beer of Berne; seven grandchildren, Mike (Tracy) Beer, Karen (Scott) Kruger, Danille (Eric) Hancock, Lesley (Earl) Hough, Seth Humble, Jesse (Chris) Hawbaker, and Hannah (Ryan) Mies; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by a brother.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Saturday, May 18, and 1-2 p.m. Sunday, May 19, at Swiss Village.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, also at Swiss Village, with Pastor Chris Kruchkow and Pastor Barry Humble officiating.
Burial is in the MRE Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to Cross Community Church and/or Swiss Village Samaritan Fund.
