Decatur's second Town Hall meeting, led by Mayor John Schultz and the city council, was pretty quiet Tuesday night. Approximately 20 people were in attendance.
The mayor began the discussion by asking for ideas on what they would like to see for the old bank building the city bought from the hospital.
He explained that there is a program called the Stellar Community Program which the city can apply for to receive funds to fix up the building. The program is designed to help applicants come up with a plan for what they'd like to do with a building or area and potentially provide some funds for the project. To qualify for funding through this program, the city plans to partner with local businesses and is in touch with an engineering firm that has helped other projects qualify for funds.
