David A. Runyon, 55, of Decatur, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013, in Lutheran Hospital of Indiana.
He was born on Thursday, June 6, 1957, in Bluffton, Ind., to Floyd Runyon, who passed away in 2004, and Evelyn (Messick) Runyon, who passed away in 2012.
David married Cathy Cable on November 26, 1983, in Bluffton; she survives in Decatur.
David was employed by Wabash Electric in Bluffton as purchasing agent and EDI processor since 1991. He enjoyed fishing, 3-D Modeling, and watching Westerns and Star Trek. He was an avid football fan and enjoyed watching his Indianapolis Colts.
Among survivors are two sons, Michael Allen (Valerie) Runyon of Bluffton and Kevin Daniel Runyon of Decatur; grandson, Noah Edward Allen Runyon of Huntington; sister, Vikki (Dave Booth) Runyon of Bluffton; brother, Pat (Tami) Runyon of Bluffton; two "heart and soul" children, Clayton Jon Scott and Courtney Allen Wolf; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding David in death was a brother, Daniel Runyon, in 2009.
Friends will be received from 1-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. on Friday, February 15, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 16, in the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Linn Grove, Ind. Preferred memorials are to the Wounded Warriors.
