Lucile C. Foor, 99, of Decatur, died Monday, January 21, 2013, at the Village of Heritage in Monroeville.
Lucile was born in Willshire, Ohio, on October 1, 1913, to the late Monroe and Ada (Detro) Byer.
She married Merle L. Foor on February 3, 1933; he preceded her in death on August 27, 1993.
Lucile was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and an avid collector of antique glassware and Maxfield Parrish prints. She and Merle operated the Old Cloverleaf Route Antique store for 10 years in Willshire, then Tall Pine Antiques for 14 years at their home outside of Berne.
She was a former 4-H leader and member of the Blue Creek Township Home Economic Club and Eastern Star.
Among survivors are two daughters, Ann (Allen) Bowen of Decatur and Karen (Pat) Evans of Fort Wayne; a sister, Doris Strayer of Kendallville; two sisters-in-law, LuLu Byer of Fort Wayne and Jean Foor of Payne, Ohio; nine grandchildren;18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Lucile was preceded in death by two daughters, Myrna Raudenbush and Ada Odle; two grandsons, Merle Lynn and Kevin Raudenbush; two sisters; and five brothers.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, also at the funeral home. Rev. Michael Heinbaugh will be officiating.
Entombment will be in Willshire Cemetery, Willshire, Ohio.
Preferred memorials are to St. Mark’s United Methodist Church and Family Life Care-Hospice.
