Viola M. Ray, 95, of Muncie, passed away Monday, November 12, 2012, at Albany Health and Rehabilitation Center after a short illness.
She was born in BoBo, Ohio, on December 11, 1916, to the late Dennison and Daisy L. (Gause) Krick.
Viola moved to Muncie in 1944. She was a member of Southside Church of the Nazarene.
Among survivors are her daughter, Phyllis Unger Hahn of Muncie; three grandchildren, Brian (Caren) Hahn of Fairland, Ind., Dawn (Michael) Beal of Albany, and Cynthia (Aaron Jr.) West of Pendleton, Ind.; eight great-grandchildren, Joshua, Sarah and Benjamin Hahn of Fairland, Kylie Unger of Albany, Adam (fiancée- Jill) West of Middletown, Ind., Bridget West of Markleville, Ind., and Aaron (Crystal) West, III of Chesterfield, Ind.; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn W. Ray; and two sisters, Loretta Corson of Fort Wayne, and Cleo Hill of Decatur.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, November 16, at Parson Mortuary, Muncie, and one hour prior to services on Saturday.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 17, also at the mortuary, with Pastors Keith Kelley and David Delk officiating.
Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory.
Preferred memorials are to the charity of the donor’s choice.
