LaMar (Bud) E. Taylor, 69, died peacefully Saturday, November 3, 2012, after a valiant battle with cancer.
Bud is the son of Vivian Dellinger Taylor-Bryan and the late Willis E. Taylor. He was a native of Decatur, Indiana, and a resident of Madison, Mississippi. After graduating from Decatur High School, he served in the National Guard. He was the proud owner of LaMar Taylor Sandblasting and Painting for nearly 30 years. After moving to Madison, MS, he started his own small business that he operated until his recent illness.
He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Among survivors are his wife of 46 years, Rose M. Loshe Taylor of Madison; son, Christopher (Kathleen) E. Taylor of Grenada, Miss.; daughter, Stephanie (Rick) L. Taylor Henson of Suwanee, Ga.; grandchildren, Macy Henson, Kaitlin Taylor, Kyle Taylor and Coby Taylor; mother, Vivian Taylor-Bryan and step-ather, Doyt Bryan of Decatur; sister, Carolyn Taylor Michaels of Decatur; and brother, Brad Bryan of Decatur.
A memorial gathering to celebrate and reflect on Bud’s life will be held November 8 from 5-7 p.m. at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison, Miss.
A mass and celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur, with visitation from 9-11 a.m. at the church.
