Bonnie D. Hamilton, 91, of Decatur, passed away Saturday October 27, 2012, at Woodcrest Nursing Home.
She was born in Chicago, Ill., on January 16, 1921, to the late Chester L. and Hazel D. (Brooke) Sines.
On May 7, 1938, she married Carl E. Hamilton; he passed away on October 11, 1979.
Bonnie attended The Bridge Community Church and was a member of the Tiger Lily Garden Club.
Among survivors are four sons, David L. (Jeanne), Alan E. (Joy), Charles L. “Chuck” (Nancy), and Rex H. Hamilton, all of Decatur; and one daughter, Vivian (Richard) Rumple of Decatur; two sisters, Mary (Len) Hyatt of Calif. and Ruth (Richard) Cox of Delphi, Ind.; 21 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Carol McKean; three sisters; two granddaughters; one great-granddaughter, and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31, at Haggard Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Mo Hodge officiating.
Burial will be at Decatur Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to Adams County Heart Club or the ACCF Angel Cancer Fund.
