Bobby E. Heller, 79, of rural Decatur, passed away Friday, February 17, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital.
Bobby was born on March 12, 1932, in Adams County, to the late Theodore S. and Jeanette I. (Spade) Heller.
On October 15, 1960, he married Mary M. Bornhorst.
Bobby was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and a lifelong resident of Adams County. He was a member of the John Purdue Club, a Kentucky Colonel, Indiana Nurseryman Association and Landscape Architect. He was the founder of Heller Nursery in 1946.
Survivors include his wife, Mary M. Heller, of Decatur; two sons, John (Joy) Heller of Preble and Brian (Melissa) Heller of Decatur; a sister, Mrs. Carol (Chester) Longenberger,of Monroe; four grandchildren, Jessie (Eric) Myers of Berne, Jeff M. Heller of Preble, Hailey and Lucy Heller of Decatur; and one great-grandson Max J. Myers of Berne.
Visitation will be on Sunday, February 19, from 1-3 p.m., at Haggard-Sefton and Hirschy Funeral Home.
A 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, February 20, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Father David Voors will be officiating and burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials are to St. Mary’s Building on Our Heritage (for the new parrish hall) or the John Purdue Club.
