Elizabeth M. “Betty” Miller, 80, of Decatur, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2012, at Woodcrest Nursing Center. Betty was born on November 5, 1931, in Tipton, Ind., to the late Joseph H. and Elizabeth (Dane) Koors.
She married Leo F. Miller on June 18, 1955.
Betty worked as a homemaker and was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia and The 3rd Order of St. Francis, Port Charlotte, Fla. Chapter.
Survivors include her husband; five sons, Terry Miller, of Decatur; Greg (Teresa) Miller, of Fort Myers, Fla.; Larry (Melinda) Miller, of St. Louis, Mo.; Vince (Mary) Miller, of Augusta, Ga.; Marty Miller, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 3:30-6:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 15, at Woodcrest Porter Auditorium, with reciting of the Holy Rosary at 3 p.m.
Calling is also from 9:30-10 a.m. Thursday, February 16, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Father David Voors will be officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials are to St. Mary’s completion of Building on our Heritage.
