Eileen Wolpert, 85, of Decatur, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2012, at Woodcrest Nursing Center.
Eileen was born in Adams County on September 8, 1926, to the late Charles and Helen (Blec) Keller.
On September 1, 1949, she married Joseph R. Wolpert. He preceded her in death in 1973.
Eileen was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and its Rosary Society. She retired as a nurse for Dr. James Burk after 28 years and also worked for 20 years as an OB nurse for Adams County Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include a son, Joel Wolpert, of Decatur; three daughters, Julie (Ken) Krueckeberg, of Decatur; Joyce (Randy) White, of Kansas City, Kan.; and Jane (Tony) Wolpert, of Decatur; eight grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Catherine Teeple and Eloise Roeder.
Calling hours will be 11-4 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, with reciting of the Holy Rosary at 4 p.m. at Haggard-Sefton and Hirschy Funeral Home.
An 8:45 a.m. prayer service will be held on Monday, February 13, at the funeral home, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Father David Voors will be officiating.
Burial is in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
