Janet M. Roughia, 83, of Decatur, died at 8:17 a.m. Wednesday in Adams Memorial Hospital.
She was born on September 9, 1928, in Fort Wayne to Chester and Blanche Byer Bryan.
She was married to Arnold R. Roughia for more than 50 years; he passed away on April 29, 2004.
She retired from McDonald's restaurant after 20 years of service and was an active member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Decatur, including membership in the United Methodist Women and the choir, and was also a Sunday School teacher.
Surviving are one daughter, Brenda Roughia of Fort Wayne; one son, Jon Roughia (and wife Ginger) of Bryant; one sister, Barbara Gaunt of Decatur; three brothers, Doyt Bryan (and wife Vivian) of Decatur, Richard Bryan (and wife Sally) of Decatur, and Ronnie Bryan (and wife Grace) of Salem, Indiana; and four grandchildren, Ann Marie Mahoney, Michelle Mahoney, Douglas Mahoney, and Jill Roughia.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Mahoney.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Decatur, with Pastor Mike Heinbaugh officiating.
Burial will be in Tricker Cemetery in Adams County.
Visiting hours are 2-7 p.m. Friday in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, and 9-10 a.m. Saturday in the church.
Preferred memorials are to the choir at St. Mark's United Methodist Church.
