Keith D. Bickel, 68, of rural Portland, died on Tuesday at home.
He was born in Jay County to Marvin and Elsie Worth Bickel.
He married Elaine Corwin Fields on October 16, 2004; she survives. His first wife, the former Joyce A. Lanning, whom he married on June 2, 1963, died on January 7, 1999.
He was a farmer and also worked for Price Implement in Portland and Franklin Electric in Bluffton.
He was a member of the Portland Moose Lodge and the Tri-State Gas Engine and Tractor Association.
Other survivors are two sons, Randy and Brian Bickel of Portland; one daughter, Mrs. Curt (Anna) Bayer of Decatur; three brothers, Donald Bickel of Ridgeville; Larry Bickel of Portland; and Lester Bickel of Warren; three sisters, Mrs. Don (Marilynn) Boyce of Geneva and Mrs. Jim (Marjorie) Johnson and Mrs. Terry (Ruth) Degler of Portland; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Baird-Freeman Funeral Home at Portland, with Pastor Mitch Corwin officiating.
Burial will be in Green Park Cemetery, Portland.
Visiting hours are 4-8 p.m. today.
