The Kintz Insurance Krushers broke open a tight 3-2 game in the Willie Mays League of the Hoosier East Baseball Alliance with five runs in the bottom of the third Thursday night and ended up capturing a 13-4 win over Hull Lift.
With the victory, Kintz won the HEBA Mays league title and with its 10-2 slate will be the number one seed in the upcoming league tournament.
Noah Macklin started and went three innings for the pitching win with four strikeouts. He allowed just one hit and two runs. Reliever Ethan Corral got the save by whiffing six while permitting just two hits and two runs.
Corral drilled a pair of triples in a three-hit game for the Krushers and had three RBIs as well. Payton Boyd doubled in a two-hit, two-RBI contest, Josh Price had two singles and two RBIs, Caden Friedt poked out two singles, and Macklin doubled.
Pitching for Hull Lift were Colin Miller, Mason Burkholder, Kobe Ortiz, and Johnathon Wilder.
