Adams Central ran away with both the boys and girls ACAC track meet with Southern Wells Thursday afternoon, scoring a huge 92-31 win in the boys meet and a 70-53 victory in the girls.
The Jets girls won nine firsts with Briona Case taking three firsts, winning the 100 in n13.2, the 200 in 28.9, and the long jump with a leap of 15'6".
Case was also on the winning 400 relay team, which went 57.0 for that win. Erica Bluhm was also on that team, and won the 300 sticks in 55.0 for the Jets. MaKenna Macklin, also on the 400 team, won the 100 meter hurdles in 17.5 for AC. Ashley Faurote took the 400 for the Jets in 1:07 with Jessica Dunn third.
Leah Spangler won the 800 in 2:39 for Central and she was second in the 3200. Frosh Kayla Isch took that event.
The Adams Central boys team copped 10 of the 16 events against Southern Wells and had double individual wins from Troy Tonner and Kyle Fawcett.
Tonner took his specialties, the discus throw and the shot put with respective distances of 140'0 and 45'3 3/4 while Fawcett nailed down the 800 run in 2:13 and added the 1,600 to the AC column as well in 4:52.
Other individual winners for the Jets were Colby Cauble in the 100 dash in :11.7, Shawn Reinhard in the long jump at 19'10, and Alex Byerly in the 400 dash in :56.9.
The Jets swept all three relays as well with Dan Fiechter, Zach Agler, Jim Harrison and Ben Lehman posting a 9:57 time in the 3,200 relay and Cauble, Reinhard, Kurt Blake, and Spencer Sharpe finishing the 400 relay in :48.1. Members of the winning 1,600 relay team in 3:59 were not listed.
