Robert C. Enterline Sr., 73, a resident of Decatur for 12 years, died at 7:05 a.m. last Tuesday in The Village of Heritage nursing home at Monroeville.
He was born on October 15, 1937 in Fort Wayne to Charles H. and Mildred B. Baughman Enterline.
He married Lorraine Katie Mahiai Hookano on April 5, 1958 in Hawaii and she survives.
Robert retired from International Harvester (now known as Navistar) in Indianapolis and served his country in the United States Marine Corps, honorably discharged as a corporal.
Robert was a member of the Young Men's Christian Association, a former member of the National Dairy Goat Association, and a licensed referee with the Indiana High School Athletic Association,
Other survivors are four sons: Bryan K. Enterline (and wife Cameron) and K. Kalei Enterline of Fort Wayne, Robert C. Enterline Jr. (and wife Kathy) of Monroeville, and Sheldon R. Enterline (and wife Diane) of New Haven; nine grandchildren: Brandon, Jessica, Jennifer, Trevor, Leah, Lakai, Lindsey, Benjamin. and Sarah; and one great-grandchild, Jordyn.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Gayle Enterline.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 25, in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home's Jacobs Chapel at Monroeville, with Rev. Brent Hickman officiating.
Burial will be in Monroeville Memorial Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, March 24, and from 9-10 a.m. Friday, March 25, in Jacobs Chapel.
Preferred memorials are to the athletic department at Heritage High School or to the activities fund at The Village of Heritage.
