Treva M. Ruble, 95, of Decatur, died at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the nursing center at Woodcrest Retirement Community.
She was born on July 25, 1915, in Monroeville to Ralph A. and Huldah F. Marquardt Barkley.
She married Romey R. Ruble on July 23, 1932, in Decatur; he passed away on January 6, 1988, after 56 years of marriage.
Treva was a homemaker and, at age 73, began employment at The Hope Chest and also at the Adams County Council on Aging, both in Decatur.
Treva formerly attended East Liberty United Methodist Church in rural Monroeville.
Surviving are three sons, Tom A. Ruble (and wife Carolyn) of Monroeville, Ted L. Ruble (and wife Dorothy) of Decatur, and Sam B. Ruble (and wife Annette) of Monroeville; four daughters, Ann A. Bieberich, Mrs. Eugene (Debbie) Butcher, and Mrs. Joe (Leah) Klinker, all of Decatur, and Mrs. Larry (Judy) Hullinger of Titusville, Florida; one brother, Robert Barkley of Churubusco; one sister, Rowena Robertson of Leo; 22 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Roxy R. Ruble; one granddaughter, Kelly Sue Klinker; two brothers, Dan and Charles Barkley; two sisters, Suzanne Davis and Faerol Holt; one son-in-law, Don Bieberich; one daughter-in-law, Betty Ruble; and one great-grandson, Dane R. Hullinger.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home's Jacobs Chapel at 111 S. Water St. in Monroeville, with Rev. Harold Klinker officiating.
Burial will be in Monroeville Memorial Cemetery.
Visiting hours are 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 10:30-11:30 a.m. Friday in Jacobs Chapel.
