Ellen L. Williamson, 85, of Decatur, died at 2:20 a.m. Tuesday in the nursing center at Woodcrest Retirement Community. She was born on February 5, 1925, in Adams County to Virgil D. and Janeva N. Humbarger Draper. She married Nile L. Williamson on June 25, 1944 in Union Chapel United Methodist Church of rural Decatur; he passed away on May 26, 2009. Ellen retired from General Electric Co. in Fort Wayne in 1968 after 16 1/2 years of service. Ellen was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church. She has no survivors. One sister, Norris Irene Owens, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 5, her birthday, at 3 p.m. in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, with Revs. Ed Karges and John Follett officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery. Visiting hours are 9-10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel (Porter Auditorium) of Woodcrest and 1-3 p.m. Saturday in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home. Preferred memorials are to the Lung Angel Fund within the Adams County Community Foundation or to the trustees of Union Chapel United Methodist Church.
