Elvira W. Fuelling, 95, of Decatur, died at 2:15 a.m. Thursday in Adams Memorial Hospital.
She was born on August 4, 1915, in Allen County to William and Clara Thieme Hockemeyer.
She married Louis H. Fuelling on November 27, 1937, in St. John Lutheran Church (Flatrock) of rural Decatur; he passed away on May 12, 1972.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. John Lutheran Church and its Ladies' Aid organization.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Janet) Hoffman of Monroeville and Mrs. Loren (Karen) Gallmeyer of Ossian; one brother, Edward Hockemeyer of Monroeville; two sisters, Lorinda Koeneman of Monroeville and Mrs. Marvin (Arnita) Schroeder of Hoagland; 12 grandchildren; and 25 great-granchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Dale E. Fuelling and Roy G. Fuelling; one daughter, Jeanett Banning; and one great-grandson, Jonah Hoffman.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Peter Lutheran Church (Fuelling) of rural Decatur, with Pastor Martin Moehring officiating.
Burial will be in the cemetery at St. Peter Lutheran Church (Fuelling).
Visiting hours are 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday in the church.
Preferred memorials are to St. Peter Lutheran Church (Fuelling) and to the "Worship for Shut-Ins" program.
