Joseph L. Hough, 70, of Bryant, passed away at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at his residence, with family by his side.
He was born on Friday, June 21, 1940, in Adams County to Rev. Burley Hough and Hulda (Kessler) Hough.
Joseph was married to Kathy Zerby, who survives.
Joseph worked at General Electric for 25 years and at Geneva Manufacturing for 10 years. He was a lifelong farmer and horse grower.
Joseph attended Riverside Holiness Church.
Other survivors include two sons, Joseph Allen "Zap" Hough and Jerry (Kim) Hough, both of Stroh, Indiana; a daughter, Sue (Terry) Sisson of Terre Haute; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four brothers of County Line Road, rural Bryant: Tom Hough, John Hough, Lonnie Hough, and Jack Hough.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Hulda (Kessler) Hough; his father, Burley Hough; one son, Jack DeVeril Hough; two brothers, Robert Hough and Burley Ray Hough; and one sister, Carolyn Toot Witwer.
Arrangements are being handled by Downing and Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington Street, Geneva, where the family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. on Friday, November 19, 2010, and from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2010.
The funeral service will be at Downing and Glancy Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2010, with Minister Caroline Sally Jones officiating.
Interment will be at Gravel Hill Cemetery, rural Bryant, where the Veterans of Foreign Wars will conduct military rites.
