James Thomas Snyder, 72, of New Haven, died on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Parkview Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Snyder was born in Fort Wayne on April 10, 1940, to the late Boyd and Mildred (Gause) Snyder.
He graduated from Leo High School in 1958. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy for seven years. Jim was employed with American Electric Power for 35 years before retiring March 21, 2001.

Rev. Robert L. Hegnauer, 95, of Berne, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012, at Swiss Village.
He served 42 years in the ministry and retired from the Berne Cross United Church of Christ with nine years of service. He was a WW II and Korean Conflict U.S. Army Chaplain.
Survivors include two sons, one daughter, one sister, and two grandchildren.

Edna Louise Hoffman, 81, of Elkhart, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012, at Golden Living Center in Elkhart.
She was born February 11, 1931, in Berne, to Hugh J. and Hope V. (Hart) Moyer.
On July 30, 1977, she married Dale E. Hoffman in Decatur.
Edna worked as a CNA for more than 30 years prior to her retirement at Elkhart General Hospital.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Evelyn was born November 12, 1930, in Berne, to the late Ralph and Bertha (Spichiger) Miller.

Cal M. Peterson, 86, of New Haven, passed away at 10:25 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2012, in the Kingston Residence, Fort Wayne.
Cal was born on Wednesday, May 20, 1925, in Decatur, the son of the late Cal F. and Edna L. (Neukom) Peterson. He married the late Magdelene K. Hilgeman on July 24, 1948, in Magley; she passed away on November 5, 2010.
Cal served in the United States Navy during World War II.

Roger Davis Ripley, 77, of Decatur, died at 10:14 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2012, at his residence.
Roger was born on Saturday, February 16, 1935, in Adams County, the son of the late Leland and Midge (Davis) Ripley.
He married Betty M. Roe on December 4, 1954, in Decatur; she survives.
Roger was a member of the Willshire Union United Methodist Church, served on the Decatur Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, and coached Little League and Pony League for Monmouth from 1967-1973.

He was born in Bryant on July 5, 1927, the son of Jerome and Agnes (Krieg) Wellman Sr.
He was married June 30, 1951, to Ruth C. Weigel; she passed away June 5, 2010.

He was born January 25, 1937, in Adams County, to Chris C. and Susan (Hilty) Schwartz.
A lifelong resident of Adams County, he was a carpenter and a member of the Old Order Amish.
