Decatur-Adams County Parks & Recreation registration information

    The Decatur-Adams County Parks & Recreation now has open registration for 2017 fall soccer, Iron Kid Triathlon, summer camp and men's summer basketball leagues.
    
    • 2017 fall soccer — For students in kindergarten-eighth grades. Games will be played on Saturdays from Sept. 9-Oct. 21.
    The fee is $20 if registered before 4 p.m. June 2.
    After June 2, the fee is $35. The final registration deadline is at 4 p.m. July 7.
    • Iron Kid Triathlon — The Iron Kid Triathlon, for students ages 5-16, will be at 7 p.m. July 6 at Adams Central High School.
    The fee is $15 and includes a t-shirt and race medal.
    
    • Summer camp — There will be three different summer camps for children ages 7-12.
    The fee for one camp is $40; two camps is $60; and all three camps is $80. There are limited spaces available.
    The camps are:
    Camp Nuts About Nature — from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Tuesdays July 11, 18 and 25 at Kekionga Park;
    Camp Arts and Atoms — from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Wednesdays July 12, 19 and 26 at Legion Park;
    Camp Games and Grub — from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Thursdays July 13, 20 and 27 at the Girl Scout Cabin.

    • Men's summer basketball league — Open for players who are high school freshmen to adults, games will be held Thursday evenings from May 25-July 13 in Northward Park.
    Registration deadline is Friday and costs $60 per team. Schedules may be picked up May 22.

    Accepted payments are cash or check. Office hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 a.m.-7 p.m.
