Wynn demands smoke detectors, egress windows for Amish homes

    Adams County Building, Planning and Zoning Commission Director Mark Wynn submitted his monthly report to the county commissioners this week which showed the issuance of 23 building permits in March, with a total estimated value of $1.3 million. Permits were issued for the construction of eight unattached buildings, with an estimated value of $165,500; six residential additions ($137,500); three agricultural buildings ($718,000), three additions to unattached buildings ($28,000) and three single family residential structures ($251,000) during the month. No electrical or remodeling permits were issued in March.
