Wind damage settlement wait continues at NA

December 12, 2013

High-velocity, straight-line winds caused significant damage to the Bellmont High School gymnasium roof last month, members of the North Adams board of education were told at their regular monthly meeting Tuesday evening.
The Nov. 17 tornado outbreak across Indiana brought wind gusts reaching up to 58 mph, according to information retrieved from the www.wunderground.com website. According to North Adams Business Manager Larry Carty, the wind tore the membrane off the top of the roof, dislocating bricks and creating a crack down a brick wall.
