Winchester Rd. closed starting Monday for three-month project

June 5, 2014

County Engineer Tim Barkey informed the Adams County Commissioners this week a section of Winchester Road is scheduled to be closed for repairs beginning Monday.
The closure will take place between Canterbury Drive and Tigers Trail for the rehabilitation of the bridge over Holthouse Ditch.
The project should take approximately three months to complete. Barkey said a  telephone cable is currently being relocated in advance of the project. Additional information surrounding the repair work, including detour routes, will be covered at next week’s commission meeting.
Barkey also relayed to commissioners his recommendation to accept the low bid of $102,662.70 from Co-State Construction, Auburn, for two bridge rehabilitation projects in the county.
