Among area Memorial Day events is the military exhibit in Willshire, Ohio.
In its third year, store owners Bill and Aleta Weiss have completely transformed the entire Willshire Home Furnishings store, at 318 State Street in downtown Willshire, into a military museum to bring to the public an exhibit that will offer endless lessons in history, a news release said.
The store will not be open for business; rather, its doors will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday to pay special tribute to veterans past and present, the news release said.
At 1 p.m. on Mernorial Day, the public is invited to meet at Willshire Park and for performances with local singer and songwriter John Brodbeck and other special guests.Refreshments will be available.
