William S. Schwartz

    William S. Schwartz, 46, Geneva, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
    He was born March 23, 1968, in Jay County, to the late Daniel I. Schwartz and Lizzie W. (Schmucker) Schwartz.
    He married Maryann U. Schwartz June 5 1986; she survives.
    William was an Old Order Amish and was self-employed as a carpenter.
    He is survived by his mother Lizzie W. Eicher of Geneva; four sons, William M. (Clara) Schwartz of Geneva, Daniel M.W. (Barbara E.) Schwartz of Berne, Jake M.W. Schwartz and Amos M.W. Schwartz, both at home; three daughters, Maryann M.W. (Sam A.) Girod of Geneva, Barbara M.W. (Andy E.) Schwartz and Lizzie M.W. (Ernest J.) Girod, both of Berne; three sisters, Mary S. (Benny R.) Girod, Lizzie S. (Ruben R.) Girod and Fannie S. (Chris S.) Schwartz, all of Geneva; one step brother, Marvin A. (Margaret J.) Schwartz of Bluffton; one step sister, Delila A. (Simon E.) Schwatz of Bluffton; and 14 grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his his step father, Amos E. Eicher; and a granddaughter, Maryann S.M. Girod.
    Visitation will be held from 1-8 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday, at the William S. Schwartz Residence, 2749E 800S, Geneva.
    Funeral Service will be held at 9 a.m. Sunday, also at the residence with Bishop Jonas E. Hilty officiating.
    Burial will take place in Bunker Hill Cemetery, Geneva.
    Arrangements handled by Haggard-Sefton and Hirschy Funeral Home, Decatur.
