William James Gibson

    William James Gibson, 80, died on December 14, 2012, in Sierra Vista, Ariz.
    He was born in Hoagland on August 16, 1932.
    Bill was a retired U.S. Army Veteran, who distinguished himself in the Korean War and through two tours in Vietman. He holds two Silver Stars and a Bronze Star for heroism.
    Bill was a former resident of both Paulding, Ohio, and New Haven, before retiring to Sierra Vista. For the past five years, Bill has been a resident of Life Care Center in Sierra Vista, where he was provided with outstanding loving care by the excellent staff.
    Among survivors are his wife, Joan Gibson; daughter Cathy (Steve) Carr; two sons, Austin Gibson and Zarin Gibson, both of Napolean, Ohio; two sisters, Wanda Hamrick of Decatur and Sharon (John) Pursley of Whiteland, Ind.; and two brothers, Wade (Mary Lou) of Paulding, Ohio, and Lloyd (Nancy) of Payson, Ariz.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Gladys Gibson, of Hoagland, and his sister, Helen Weileman, of New Haven, Ohio.
    Bill was cremated at Jensen Funeral Home in Sierra Vista, Ariz.
    A memorial service will be held this spring in Ohio.
