Wilbur L. "Willie" Schwaller, 77, of Decatur, died at 11:20 a.m. Tuesday in Adams Memorial Hospital.
He was born on January 30, 1934, in Ida Grove, Iowa, to Leonard and Anna Brinkman Schwaller,
He married Nancy Pinkerton on July 2, 1988, in Domestic, Indiana; she died on February 25, 2005.
He worked at the Elkhart Products Corp. plant in Geneva for 13 years, was a graduate of Decatur Catholic High School, and was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Joe (Barbara) Russell of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Caryl Schwaller of Leesburg, Indiana; one son, Lou Schwaller (and wife Keri) of Monroe; three stepsons, Earl Ewart of Markleville, Indiana; Kevin Ewart (and wife Cathy) of Bluffton; and Scott Ewart (and wife Cammie) of Mooresville; one brother, Kenneth Schwaller (and wife Harriet) of Monroe; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Two sisters, Mary Helen Buescher and Lois Ann Schwaller, and one stepdaughter, Sandy Ewart, are deceased.
A Celebration of Christian Mass will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with Father David Voors officiating.
Burial will be in Alberson Cemetery at Domestic.
Visiting hours are 3-7:30 p.m. Friday in Goodwin Memorial Chapel at Bluffton. A rosary service will be eld at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are to St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church.
