Water main upgrades coming to Geneva

April 21, 2014

Water in its various forms, from potable drinking water to storm and wastewater, was one of the primary categories reviewed by Clerk/Treasurer Bill Warren at this month’s meeting of the Geneva Town Council.
Warren notified councilors he had recently received drawings from Commonwealth Engineers, Indianapolis, for water main improvements scheduled to begin in the community this summer. Warren commented “the drawings look pretty good,” and indicated he would take them with him to a common wage committee hearing in Decatur with members of the Association of Builders and Constructors for their perusal and input.
The clerk/treasurer stated he would soon be applying for a water main extension permit as part of the project, and noted he would need to generate and post notice of intent signage and right of way permits in advance of the project as well.
