Wanita Cable

    Wanita Cable, 85, Decatur, passed away Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Delbert and Catherine (Banning) Thatcher.
    She married the late Norbert D. Cable Sept. 29, 1946, in Monmouth; he passed away Aug. 9, 2003.
    Wanita had worked at Automatic Sprinkler in Monroe for 26 years.
    Among survivors are her daughters, Brenda (Andy) Wolf of Craigville, Gloria Loshe, Rebecca E. (James) Fuelling and Cathy Runyon, all of Decatur; son, Roger D. (Janet) Cable of Nashville, Tenn.; brother, Gene (Vivian) Thatcher of Willshire; sisters, Virgie Lister, Mary Dick, Virginia (Harold) Vanhorn, all of Decatur, Marjorie (Larry) Hileman, Elsie (Lowell) Beougher and Darlene (Conley) Marsee, all of Rockford, Ohio; 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
    Preceding Wanita in death were four brothers, Reynold, Preston, Alvin and Joseph Thatcher; two sisters, Bonnie Sutton Ellison and Rose Johnson; and one son-in-law, David Runyon.
    Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling.
    Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday.
    Preferred memorials are to St. Peter Lutheran Church Building Fund.
