Walter H. Biedermann

    Walter H. Biedermann, 80, of Palm Coast, Florida, formerly of Decatur, died on November 12, 2011, at his residence.
    Walter was born in Mannheim, Germany on August 22, 1931, to Heinrich and Hermine Konig Biedermann.
    He married Helen Joan Johnson, who survives.
    Walter lived in Decatur for 43 years and lived in Florida the past 10 years.
    Walter attended St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Decatur and was a member of the Lutheran Church in Mannheim.
    He worked as a machinist for International Harvester in Fort Wayne.
    He was also a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1311 in Decatur.
    Other survivors are one son, R. Scott Biedermann (and wife Rita) of Wolcottville; one daughter, Mrs. Ed (Lisa) Beckett of Palm Coast; four grandchildren, Tyler, Jeniffer, Jaclyn, and Kylie; and two great-grandchildren.
    Preceding him in death were two brothers and a sister of Mannheim.
    A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2011, in Decatur Cemetery, with Pastor Michael Heinbaugh officiating.
    Arrangements were by Haggard-Sefton and Hirschy Funeral Home, Decatur.
